Defensive Line Academy
Own - Maintain - Attack!

About DLA
Power Step Defensive Line Academy is built to develop monstrous, disruptive defensive linemen who control the line of scrimmage through leverage and precision. Every aspect of training is centered at our core motto: own your leverage, maintain your leverage, and attack your leverage. Athletes are trained from the ground up, mastering essential skills needed to excel in the trenches of a football field. Through structured, progressive drills, players learn how to strike with purpose, redirect power, defeat blocks, and finish plays with control and confidence.
What To Expect
As an athlete participating in Defensive Line Academy, you can expect to receive premier coaching for the defensive line position. DLA will walk athletes through a program that includes:

-
Stance Technique
-
Hip Explosion
-
Fast Hand Placement
-
Recognition
-
Hand Fighting
-
Multiple Pass Rush Techniques

Similar to our tackling motto of owning, maintaining, and attacking your leverage, defensive linemen need to execute the same process using different techniques.
Lead Defensive Line Coach
My name is Coach Nevin Reid
Leading coaching for the defensive line at Power Step Football Academy is an enormous honor of mine. I coach the game the way it's meant to be played in the trenches, physical, disciplined and relentless. Blending old-school toughness with modern defensive line technique, I teach athletes how to control the line of scrimmage through leverage, hand violence, and explicit footwork. My passion is developing defensive linemen who are confident, aggressive, and mean between the tackles. Click the button below to read my full bio.
